One hell of a big ring

bigring

Yes, it was on sale by one of the street vendors in Ortaköy, Istanbul. No, I didn't buy it. It was too big for any practical purpose. Got a photo op out of it, though, thanks to Simla.

Animals do manage to live in some very strange places. I once removed a car's horn button and found a colony of mites beneath. Possibly there was some edible adhesive but where did they get any water?

Reminds me a little of "poison rings" with secret compartments that I've seen. They always give me a bit of a laugh as they're not exactly an unobtrusive place to hide something.

Oh yes, I wonder if this one too had a secret compartment. Forget poison, it is certainly large enough for a spy camera. But then again, everybody's eyes would be on you.
