Ah, extremely beautiful Aydin!Susan
I think it's a Pycnoporus species. Maybe P. cinnabarinusbest,Me again, Susan
Lovely!
Was it yellow underneath? If so I'm thinking it's chicken of the woods, Laetiporus sulphureus. Isn't it gorgeous!
And I thought chicken of the woods was a tasty bird!
According to Tom Volk, it really does taste like chicken! But only if it's prepared properly.http://botit.botany.wisc.edu/toms_fungi/jul2001.html
