Buckeye at the end of October
It is nice to see butterflies still fluttering around this late in autumn. I photographed this common buckeye (Junonia coenia) last Saturday in a local park. The weather had been mild until Sunday. But starting this week, the temperatures are predicted to drop, especially at night. I guess there won't be anymore butterflies until the next spring.
This is indeed a common butterfly. Previous posts about it were here and here.
